There is a darts tournament at the silver birch Cowdenbeath on saturday the 4th of febuary.Roll call is 12:30 for a 1:30 start.The entry fee is £5.Everyone will be more than welcome.Cheers

The DDDL Bob Stevenson Memorial Open Singles will be played on Thursday 5th January 2012 at the Barley Sheaf. Entry is £2 per player. Registration closes at 7.45pm to allow an 8pm start. This is an annual charity event and all monies raised will be donated to CHAS (Children's Hospice Association Scotland).

Just a reminder that the DDDL 1001 Singles competition will be held in the Silver Birch on Thursday 29th December. Entries to be in by 1945hrs for a 2000hrs start. Entry fee £2 per player.

Started a results thread in the forum if anyone wants to add to it.( I know it takes a while for the guys to collect all the sheets and collate the results). Pity we got humped on Monday!

Comrie Tavern summer league starts on Monday 11th July. Initial £10 on first night night followed by 5 payments of £2 paid over the 5 weeks.
You will be entered into a draw on 1st week to determine what group you will play in. It will be a round robin format to start off with the players from each group qualifying go on to play in the knockout stages. Well done to Blairhall & Middle Bar. Looking more and more llike a 2 horse race now.

It could have been so different if we we weren't missing 4 of our normal starting 8. Ended up playing the barman who needed an instruction manual to know which way to face (although he still managed to beat the dream team of Scan & Stevie Jr in the doubles - against the throw!!!!) and Methusela's great great great grandpappy ("down our way we used to play 601 with only 2 bloody darts").

The qualifiers from the cottars venue were Kenny and Michael banks. I have the results sheets from Blairhall and Cottars. Would somebody(if not already done) please send me the results sheets from the Silver birch and East end inn venues, by SATURDAY latest please, so all relevant data can be put up on the web-site, to avoid all the usual questions, on why has this, that and the next- info, not been put on show!!!??? I will again say- INFORMATION WILL ONLY BE ADDED TO THE WEB-SITE ONCE ALL STATS HAVE BEEN COLLECTED, IN TOTAL FOR THE SAME SUBJECT. (i.e. week 9, or league doubles etc.) If the info you expect to see, hasn't been added, this is probably due to teams/players not sending in sheets/paperwork to the secretary in the usual time alocated. We try not to give fines out very often but, things are getting so bad, all teams are being warned NOW! fines will be put in place if rules(which you all have a copy of) are broken! Any problems should be forwarded to the league secretary asap.

The tournament tonight is The Bob Stevenson memorial and is being played in Jokers in Dunfermline. Entries have to be in by 7-45pm latest and will cost £2.00 per player. This is an open tournament meaning anybody who pays their £2.00 will be entered into the tournament.

The Fixture list has been amended to accommodate the recent postponement of Week 3 & 4 fixtures. In effect League Fixtures have been pushed 2 weeks to the right with effect from 31/01/11. All other competitions remain unchanged with the exception of the last 2 Open Competitions and Finals day which have both been moved 2 weeks to the right. DDDL Open 501 Doubles

The DDDL Open 501 Doubles will be held at Whitegates (next door to Comrie Tavern) on Monday 3rd January. Entry fee £4 per pair. Registration closes at 7.45pm.

Two of our members are holding open tournaments over the festive season;

Comrie Tavern - 28th December 7pm - £5 entry fee - £100 guaranteed first prize

Silver Birch - 2nd of January 1pm Registration for 2 pm start - £5 entry fee -1st £250, 2nd £125, 3rd & 4th £65, best leg £25, fastest game £25

Following concerns raised by a number of publicans in relation to safe access/parking, all DDDL matches scheduled for tonight (06/12/10) have been postponed.

The League Meeting scheduled for Tuesday 07/12/10 has been postponed until 14/12/10 ( to be held at Lauders).

Been reading recent comments on here about about open tournaments, i kind of agree with both sides of the argument but thought i would post my own oppinion instead of taking a back seat:
Am happy with these players from lochgelly/cowdenbeath players playing in our open tourneys cause i want to play against the best players around to help me improve my game but i do think you should be signed for a DDDL team to play in them. So if that means making it a closed tournament fair enough. Am not wanting these guys to stop coming to opens just want them to join the league to make it a better and stronger league or maybe even enter there friday night teams into the league.

no need to state the obvious i no the two players play in our league and have no problem with the open tournament or anyone who plays in them its a good chance for people who want to join a team but dont no anybody in the league to come along and see what its like i was only saying why dont the other leagues do the same im sure a few of our league players would go to cowden on a friday night if there was a open tourney thats all no need to get your nickers in a twist or is it you have to come to the mighty haw at the end of the month thats making use a wee bit edgey eh

Don't the 2 guys who won the doubles play for the Woodside anyway and that team are members of the DDDL? They would be permitted to play whether its an open tournament or not, so no problem there.

This could easily be changed at the AGM or an EGM mate, if you were to propose that all open tournaments be 'closed' . Until then Cmon the Woodside Boys!

aye good tournament well run but us dunfermline league players need to get our finger out these lochgelly /cowdenbeath boys keep winnin our open tourneys i notice they dont (open) there comps up closed shop in there leagues but as the league starts up next week and this page has nearly been ignored i think blairhall will win the league this season at a canter but sure some will disagree mon the haw wee welcome the chase

The information currently on the website is correct. The Goth entered 2 teams but quickly realised that they could not sustain them both so have merged into one team. Riley's have joined the League and the 2nd half of the KO Cup in group 4 as originally planned, recording 3 x 9-0 walkover defeats for the 1st half of the KO Cup.
